The House Corporation

The Phi Deuteron Housing Corporation acts as the landlord of the physical fraternity house of the Phi Deuteron Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta, located at 7501 Hopkins Ave., College Park, Md. 20740. The House Corporation manages leases, collects rent, and maintains the physical property that our undergraduate brothers reside in. The House Corporation also resolves any issues related to maintaining the property.

The House Corporation meets once a month to discuss property related issues and to brainstorm ideas for current and future renovations and improvements to the property. The House Corporation also periodically holds planning sessions to analyze the possibility of building a new home for the chapter.

Over the last year, the House Corporation has invested over $65,000 into the chapter house. Renovations have included:

The installation of a sprinkler systemBuilding a kitchen area on the main floorConnecting the College Ave. and Hopkins Ave. sides via an inner doorwayWater proofing apt. 5 & 6Adding a bathroom for the house directorRefinishing all floors on the main levelConverting a main level bathroom into a fully functioning laundry room complete with washer & dryer

Additionally, the house Corporation now administers a meal plan for all in-house brothers, and includes high speed internet, digital cable, weekly house cleanings, and landscaping in the cost of rent for undergraduate brothers.
